Look ahead. What do you see? Here's a photo from one of my past journeys. Would I have seen my future self? Hard to say... but looking back I think I was heading in the right direction.

It's been said that life is a journey, not a destination. When you're looking off to distant horizons, don't forget to take a moment and consider where you are, how you got there, and what the journey's been like so far. Whether you're in the middle of some adventure, exploring distant places or new ideas, or sitting home in front of a computer screen (or at work procrastinating), or even in the middle of the fiercest storm you've ever experienced, sometimes the most useful use of time is just to take a precious few seconds of it to reflect about where, and who, you are right now. So today, don't worry about tomorrow - tomorrow has enough worries of its own. Now, in this one instant, just be thankful for this one instant. Then, take that next step towards where, and who, you want to be.

"Know thyself" - one last tried and true bit of wisdom from someone much wiser than me. And what is a journey, or a quest, if you don't come away from it a little wiser? Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. I guarantee it will prove worth your while before you run out of time!
